In the design of path finder Afrodite suggested using hard coded 'show ip route' table.

Toby suggests use of traceroute to find the next hop instead. This has an implication that the PS has to be located in the domain that it is managing. It also assumes single homing.

The basic architecture would be to lool ito a cache and if the required information is not found then only get the information from other sources. The cache should be invalidated after a predetermined amount of time.

Afrodite to send details of current pathfinder implementation and upload it to the wiki.

A flag could be used to differentiate between inter and intra domain path finding requests. This should be investigated.

GRNet to move towards a document literal style of web services.

GRNet to include well defined response codes.

GRNet to start using Torque as the persistence layer by end of June 2005.
