Synopsis

RESTENA reported noticeable traffic loss in their Internet service. Independent of their report it had been determined by DANTE operations that the HU router had been left in a non-standard configuration, which meant that during the change over from one Internet service provider (Level3) to another (Global Crossing), the HU DWS port was not properly utilised and another port (in Frankfurt) became overloaded. The HU configuration was restored to its proper state and the packet loss stopped.
