For most clients it does make sense to take also the more advanced features like filtering IdPs and embedded discovery to use. By combining features SP is able to offer embedded discovery listing IdPs relevant to it's user base.

Filtering IdPs

By default eduTEAMS Discovery Service lists all the eduGAIN IdPs.  SP may reduce the list by Filtering IdPs.

Embedded discovery.

eduTEAMS discovery Discovery Service may be used also as Embedded Discovery.
