The first SIG-AI meeting was an opportunity to jointly share ideas, experiences and best practices in AI used by leading research and development institutions in Europe.
As part of the meeting, representatives from various NRENs such as GRNet, Surf, NORDUnet and DFN presented strategies for the development of AI services and applications.  There was also a lot of interest in technology presentations, where experts presented advanced aspects of the use of AI, e.g. in the area of cyber security. The PSNC presented a wide range of AI application services and projects in the area of next-generation networks, medicine, education, industry and the humanities.
Discussions held during the meeting, particularly during the brainstorming sessions where participants had the opportunity to speak in smaller groups on key AI issues, will help shape the SIG-AI group's activities in the coming months. Conclusions and comments from meeting participants will allow the group's focus areas and specific objectives to be defined more precisely. toc
