- EBSI and GÉANT are currently setting up a "Root-TAO" granting GÉANT the delegable right to issue "Educational ID" VCs
- A "Root-TAO" (Trusted Accreditation Organisation) is a trust anchor in the EBSI registry for verifiers
- The "Educational ID" VC is aligned as much as possible with information carried in eduGAIN
- GÉANT can sub-delegate the right to issue "Educational ID" VCs to NRENs which in turn can sub-delegate to individual universities
