SCOPE is special interest group linking like-minded professionals in the R&E community to share experiences and foster new ideas in the fields of campus issues and green technologies to achieve its mission of building a sustainable R+E community.
SCOPE emerged out of a merger between two leading groups in the GÉANT project: Campus Best Practice and Green ICT. With a presence contribution of over 40 dedicates staff members, IT professionals from over 50 national working groups, a library of Best Practice Documents and a wide range of IT sustainability tools and templates, SCOPE provides a wealth of experience and resources to IT professionals such as your self working in Campus, NREN organisation, Research institute or otherwise.
By joining SCOPE you get a network of experts to bounce off new ideas and share best practices to implement on a campus or national level.
How do we work?
We exchange work and ideas via regular SIG meetings, organise professionals into sub-group on a topic, produce best practice documents and report, provide training and workshops, give presentations in conferences, and develop new ideas through continuous dialogue and via our exchange board.
