The SANReN CA and TENET co-operate closely in building and supporting the South African NREN as a research, education and innovation platform for the benefit of its customers and users, and for the realisation of associated national development objectives.

Under the current agreement (Mar2016), TENET (as network operator/ISP) is responsible for the reactive CSIRT services and SANReN for the proactive CSIRT services.

Any other formal ISM capability is yet to be established.
