OpenID Federation side meeting TIIME 2026.

Nicole presented an overview of the documentation that is currently available in eduGAIN. 
No requirements on what should be in the MRPS and no requirement for updates. 
Canonical name is problematic. Not all countries have a register of legal entities. Adding the Chamber of Commerce registration number to the string is therefor not the solution.

User interface issue and trust issue. Federations have a trust relationship with their entities. A well defined policy could help with improving this trust relationship. 
Also take into account single entities with registrations in multiple federations. 

Trust marks - comparable to some of our entity categories. Trust marks can come from outside our ecosphere. The trust mark is signed by the issuer. Trust mark issuer should be published in the trust anchor. And therefor be a subordinate of eduGAIN. 

Who would be the trust mark owner?

Consider three examples:

• Trust Mark: authenticity of organisation has been verified by federation X.  
• Trust Mark: organisation has met the standards required to assert Sirtfi. 
• Trust Mark: an external example (erasmus? ISO?)
