Title: Joint TF-EDU&eduXS meeting: Digital education infrastructure in practice: interoperability & standards

The GÉANT Task Force for Educational Activities (TF-EDU) warmly invites you to our next joint meeting with EduXS. This free and open meeting welcomes anyone with an interest in the digital transformation of education.

Why attend?

Europe’s higher education landscape is changing rapidly — but too often, projects work in isolation. Universities, alliances, ministries, NRENs, and edtech providers are all tackling challenges like student mobility, digital credentials, and course sharing. Aligning these efforts is essential to building a connected, interoperable educational ecosystem.

At this meeting, you will:

  • Hear the latest European developments in education digitalization
  • Learn from the European Digital Education Hub on interoperability initiatives
  • Explore GÉANT’s work on enabling seamless learner journeys across institutions and borders
  • Get updates on digital credentials, wallets, and identity access management for secure, borderless learning

Spotlight on EduXS

EduXS is an open, community-driven knowledge base that maps Europe’s digital education infrastructure. It’s designed to help actors across the ecosystem find relevant standards, services, and solutions — so we don’t solve the same problem dozens of times over. Data managers are busy mapping the NREN services based on the TF-EDU survey.

You’ll have the chance to:

  • Discover how EduXS works and how it’s governed
  • See real-world use cases in credentials, identity, and mobility
  • Share your own ideas, feedback, and data
  • Discuss opportunities for collaboration and synergy

Who should join?

This meeting is for anyone working on — or interested in — digital education transformation, interoperability, or cross-border infrastructure, including:

  • Policy makers and ministry representatives
  • University and alliance leaders
  • NREN staff and service providers
  • Edtech innovators and standards developers

Your perspective is welcome — whether you’re curious, critical, or already contributing.

If you have some technical issues or other concerns, please send your submission to tf-edu-sc@lists.geant.org
